All About TTIP: 11th Frankfurt Roundtable on Investment Law and Investment Treaty Arbitration, November 4, 2015 15 October 2015 by Peter Bert Leave a comment The Frankfurt Roundtable on Investment Law and Investment Treaty Arbitration is taking place this year on November 4, 2015. As always, Alfred Escher and Jan Schäfer are organizing the event in conjunction with the Frankfurt International Arbitration Center. This year, the programme is devoted to the discussion of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), or more specifically, the proposals to create a new dispute resolution mechanism, in response to widespread criticism of traditional treaty arbitration procedures. The event kicks off with a presentation of the EU Commission’s proposals by a commission representative. Amongst the panel members is Heribert Hirte, a rare creature: a chaired professor for business law turned politician, as a member of parliament. Here is a link to the full programme and to the registration form.
