As previoulsy reported, a task force was established to assist the Augsburg public prosecutor’s office (Staatsanwaltschaft) to research the provenance of the Gurlitt collection. Its contact details, however, are not that prominently advertised – at least I could only find them in a German language press release on lostart.de. Here they are:
Task force “Schwabinger Kunstfund”
Geschwister-Scholl-Straße 6
D – 10117 Berlin
Tel.: +49 30-266 426930
Fax: +49 30-266 426932
Email: office@taskforce-kunstfund.de
The task force, based in Berlin, must not be confused with the Koordinierungsstelle in Magdeburg that operates lostart.de and takes care of looted art in general.
