This year’s IBA Litigation Conference will be held in Berlin – and if that in itself is not good enough to persuade you to come, may I add that this year, I have the honour of co-chairing the conference with Tom Price of Gowling WLG in Birmingham.
“New Types of Disputes in a New World Order” may at first sight sound slightly exaggerated. But as we look at human rights litigation, climate change litigation and sanctions, I think it is fair to say that these are topics few corporates would have considered likely to impact them directly, and even less so to bring them into a court room. In addition to these geopolitical forces, we look at collective redress in Europe, at artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies.
Before the main conference, there will be a Young Lawyers’ event worth checking out.
We kick off with a reception in the Reichstag Cupola – make sure you register before the early bird discount expires on 29 March 2019. See you soon!
