Multi-Jurisdictional Disputes – IBA Annual Litigation Forum, May 9 – 11, 2012, New York, NY

May I draw your attention to this conference, presented by the IBA Litigation Committee and the IBA Corporate Counsel Forum. Judge Rakoff will be our key note speaker. I will be one of the panellists on the topic of “extraterritorial reach of domestic law in cross-border litigation.” It would be great to see you in New York next May!The programme and the booking details  – early bird discount before March 31, 2012 -have just been published. IBA’s invitation says this about the conference:

“This programme will explore ways in which lawyers and their corporate clients – or prospective clients – can best work together. Topics include:

  • Turning your foreign judgment into cash: how to enforce judgments around the world (and how to block their enforcement)
  • Alternative fee arrangements and litigation funding
  • The extraterritorial reach of domestic law in cross-border litigation

The event will include a keynote address by Hon. Jed Rakoff, US District Judge for the Southern District of New York, as well as insights from leading external counsel who will discuss insider views on hot topics, trends and developments in international litigation.  All sessions are designed to be dynamically inter-active with conference registrants.”
